The General Audience WHOA! Food Display is designed to show people the amount of fat, sugar and sodium found in a variety of commonly eaten foods. The General Audience WHOA! Food Display isalso available in French.

The Children’s WHOA! Food Display is designed to show children and their parents the amount of fat, sugar and sodium found in a variety of foods commonly eaten by children.

The Healthy Eating Alliance is pleased to offer a General Breakfast Food WHOA! Display that showcases the amount of fat, sugar and sodium found in a variety of commonly eaten breakfast foods. The WHOA! Food Displays are meant to build awareness around the food choices we make.

The Fast Food WHOA! Display is designed to raise awareness about the amount of fat, sugar and sodium found in fast food restaurant items.

The Breakfast Fast Food WHOA! Display is a new addition to the PEI Healthy Eating Alliance resource list. This display showcases the amount of fat, sugar and sodium found in some commonly consumed fast food breakfast items.

 

The Scoop on Sodium Display

The Scoop on Sodium Display

The Scoop on Sodium Display is designed to raise awareness of the amount of sodium in commonly consumed foods and the risk factors associated with excess sodium consumption. This display emphasizes how people can reduce their sodium intake at home, at the grocery store and while eating out. Food products are used as visuals and combined with salt packages that represent the total amount of sodium in each product.

Packing a Balanced Lunch

The Packing a Balanced Lunch Display showcases foods that are apart of a healthy lunch based on Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide. The display also provides some helpful meal ideas and interesting information regarding healthy eating.

The Healthy EATS Display

The Healthy EATS Display is designed to teach people about healthy eating. This display emphasizes a variety of foods from Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide that one can incorporate into a healthy diet. Food models are used as visuals to display a variety of food choices from Canada’s Food Guide. Discover some healthy foods that you may not be as familiar with such as Kefir, Quinoa, and Couscous. Two meals are also showcased to generate discussion around making healthier substitutions for meals choices.

Preparing for Leftovers

The Preparing for Leftovers Display provides a unique perspective to make meal planning a bit simpler. The display provides ideas as to how people can cook once and eat several times with some planning and time saving strategies.

Local Food Display

Local Food Display Board

The Local Food Display board is designed to raise awareness about local foods and to provide ideas on how to include local food into your day. The display board includes recipes, tips for parents and ideas on how to eat with the seasons.

Lunchbox 101 Display

Lunch Box 101

The Lunch Box 101 Display provides some helpful ideas when packing lunches for children aged four to thirteen years. The display showcases healthy food options for lunches as well as strategies to make lunch packing a fun activity for the whole family.

Re-Think Your Drink Display

Re-Think Your Drink

Re-Think Your Drink Display is designed to increase knowledge and awareness about the amount of sugar found in commonly consumed beverages and how it can affect people’s overall health including their dental health. The visual impact of this display will hopefully encourage people to “re-think their drink”.  This resource is also available in French.
